Glimstedt has been acting as legal adviser in the acquisition by Technology Group Tesonet and INVL Private Equity Fund II, one of the leading private equity funds in Central and Eastern Europe, of the Šiaurės Licėjus network of schools and kindergartens through their joint venture Kurianti Karta.
The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2026, subject to approval by the Lithuanian Competition Council.
Šiaurės Licėjus is a private network of schools and kindergartens in Vilnius, educating children from one year of age through Grade 12. The network comprises schools located in the centre of Vilnius and in Didžioji Riešė, three kindergartens, as well as a swimming pool and an extracurricular activities centre. Today, the Šiaurės Licėjus community unites nearly one thousand school and kindergarten children.
The soon-to-be owners are dedicated to advancing high-quality private education in Lithuania that meets contemporary needs, investing in the network infrastructure, educational quality and long-term growth.
Eglė Sidorova, Head of Šiaurės Licėjus, notes that the arrival of a new strategic partner is a meaningful recognition of the organisation’s journey so far, and an opportunity to plan the future even more boldly, while preserving the values and educational direction of Šiaurės Licėjus.
Glimstedt’s advisory team has comprised Kęstutis Jaskutėlis, Jurgita Zakarauskienė, Goda Dugnaitė, Žilvinas Želvys, and other team members.
We are pleased to have contributed to this notable transaction that connects investment, privately-run education and long-term value generation in the educational system of Lithuania.
