Counsel Dr Oskaras Jusys is one of the country’s most experienced diplomats, having represented the Lithuanian Government and our country’s business interests internationally in various situations.

Dr Jusys possesses extensive experience working with international organisations, including the United Nations (UN) and the Representation of Lithuania to the European Union.

  • 2013–2017: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, Director of the United Nations, International Organisations and Human Rights Department.
  • 2013: Special Envoy for the United Nations Security Council campaign.
  • 2011–2012: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to the Sultanate of Oman (residing in London).
  • 2009–2012: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
  • 2005–2009: Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Secretary of the Ministry.
  • 2004–2005: Permanent Representative of the Republic of Lithuania to the European Union.
  • 2001–2004: Head of the Mission of the Republic of Lithuania to the European Union.
  • 2000–2001: Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania.
  • 1994–2000: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Permanent Representative of Lithuania to the United Nations in New York.
  • 1994: Adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania.
