Marius Embrektas

Partner Marius Embrektas specialises in public-private partnership, infrastructure, project finance, and energy law.

He has advised public and private sector clients, including government and municipal authorities, project developers, contractors, and financiers, on the largest PPP projects implemented in Lithuania—public buildings, street lighting, military compounds, roads, sports, healthcare, and educational facility infrastructure, and other PPP projects.

The attorney’s experience in these projects encompasses a broad range of services: advising on participation in PPP tenders, selecting the appropriate participation structure, drafting PPP agreements and representing clients in negotiations on their terms, providing legal assistance through to financial close and PPP agreement effectiveness, as well as during the construction and maintenance phases of projects, and preparing related project documentation (financing, EPC, O&M, and other project agreements and documents).

The attorney has accumulated extensive experience advising clients on complex infrastructure projects implemented in both the private and public sectors—he has advised clients on various matters in infrastructure projects across the energy, road and rail transport, industrial, and technology sectors. His experience includes, inter alia, matters relating to the legal regulation, structuring, financing, and acquisition of infrastructure projects.

Marius Embrektas also possesses substantial experience in dispute resolution and conflict management. The attorney has accumulated significant experience in resolving disputes among legal entity participants and managing business conflicts.

The attorney also advises the largest fisheries companies operating in Lithuania, engaged in fishing and shipping activities in both the Baltic Sea and distant fishing areas, on various operational matters.
