Dr Linas Belevičius, a criminal law expert with more than 25 years of experience, is joining the partners of the law firm Glimstedt.
Dr Linas Belevičius began his career as a prosecutor at the Vilnius City District Prosecutor’s Office in 1998, gradually rising to the Organized Crime and Corruption Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Lithuania. In 2010, Linas decided to change his career direction and became an attorney-at-law. During his 15 years in advocacy, he has successfully defended clients in the most complex cases.
Recognised in Europe and the academic community
Dr Belevičius’s expertise is not limited to Lithuanian courts. He is one of the few Lithuanian lawyers who represent clients at the European Court of Human Rights.
In 2005, Linas Belevičius defended his doctoral thesis at Mykolas Romeris University on the topic “Theoretical Foundations and Regulation of the Use of Technical Means in Criminal Procedure.”
For nearly two decades, he taught at the university as a lecturer and associate professor, authored scientific articles, and participated in international projects. This experience has allowed him not only to apply the law in practice but also to shape its directions.
