Advocate Dr. Laura Augytė-Kamarauskienė specialises in dispute resolution before the courts and in arbitration. She has extensive experience in international (cross-border) civil, family and succession matters, and particular expertise in the recognition and enforcement of foreign court judgments and arbitral awards in Lithuania and abroad. She has sat as an arbitrator in a number of cases and is a VKAT-recommended arbitrator. Laura has wide experience in insurance and professional liability cases; disputes arising out of factoring agreements and promissory notes; standardised debt-recovery processes in Lithuania and overseas; contract law (property, distribution and agency agreements, and other notarised transactions); and the implementation of state-funded projects and contracts. She provides comprehensive Private Wealth legal services – from prenuptial agreements to international succession matters – to business clients (executives, owners, shareholders).

Advocate Dr Laura Augytė-Kamarauskienė previously founded and successfully led the law partnership ‘Lexem’. She has always combined practice with academia, teaching for 15 years on international and EU civil procedure and international litigation at MRU to Lithuanian and international students, taking part in various international projects, and authoring more than 20 publications. She is currently a member of the Justice Research Laboratory, regularly speaks at conferences, delivers training for legal professionals and colleagues, is active in public and social initiatives, and shares her business experience as an independent board member.

Since 2009 Dr L. Augytė-Kamarauskienė has been an independent expert to the European Commission in the field of Justice, Freedom and Security.
